Lady Fenyx Photography and Illustration: February 2014

What I love the most about being both a photographer and an illustrator is that in both cases, I get to introduce myself as an artist. I do not make photographs or illustrations, I make art- the only things that change are the tools.

There was always an aspect of "getting down and dirty" about art that I enjoyed - getting your hands full of pencil smudges and charcoal stains and lying in the dust with a camera to get that perfect shot.

Making art with passion is what art - and ultimately life - is all about.I am an absolutely passionate artist - not only because I love what I do, but because it shows me life through an unique perspective.

Because of my love of cultures, languages and people it was only natural that I do 'people photography' instead of fine art. In this case, the same goes for my illustration since I specialise in graphic novel drawing.
